As Partner and Leader of TerraCRG’s Multifamily Investment Sales Division, Adam Hess has overseen the firm’s rapid growth in the Brooklyn multifamily sales market. Adam and his team have handled the marketing and sale of over $1B of mixed-use and multifamily assets, primarily in Brownstone Brooklyn neighborhoods as well as Crown Heights, Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Garden.
From 2013-2016, Hess and his team accounted for over 40% of the investment sales transaction volume in Park Slope, including the signature sales of a 47 unit, $37M portfolio on 8th Avenue for RedSky Capital Partners and arranging the $84 million sale of One Prospect Park West, a nine-story, 169,410-square-foot iconic building located at the corner of Union Street and Prospect Park West.
Prior to joining TerraCRG, Adam held the position of Director of Sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services from 2005-2010, where he was responsible for the marketing and sale of over 100 properties with an aggregate consideration of nearly $500 million. Prior to beginning his real estate career, Adam practiced law for five years in the construction liability, insurance defense and labor law fields.
Adam received his B.A. from the University of Rochester and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He and his wife, Sita, live in Park Slope, Brooklyn with their four children, Cyrus, Mina, Josefina and Ariella. Adam is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, where he heads up the Real Estate and Capital Allocation Committee, as well as the Board of the Brooklyn Heights Jewish Academy.
