Wesley O’Brien advises on zoning, land use, and environmental review for transformative development projects in New York City. These include projects such as 5 World Trade Center, One Vanderbilt, 80 Flatbush, the rezoning of Governors Island and the development of the New York Climate Exchange. A recognized voice in the field, Wesley is currently a member of the NYC Mayor’s Get Stuff Built advisory board.

Before joining Fried Frank, Wesley was general counsel of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Environmental Coordination and served as assistant counsel to the NYC Department of City Planning. He has also taught land use law at the New York University Wagner School of Public Service, and has lectured at Columbia University, Cardozo School of Law, Brooklyn Law School, and the American Planning Association’s New York Metro Chapter. Wesley received his JD from Brooklyn Law School and LLM from New York University School of Law.
